MORENO VALLEY>> Dr. Keri Then, candidate for Moreno Valley Mayor, announced the upcoming grand opening of her campaign headquarters. The event is an opportunity for residents to meet with Then and discuss issues affecting Moreno Valley. She invites Moreno Valley residents, small business owners and community stakeholders to attend the grand opening of her campaign headquarters Aug. 29, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 14320 Elsworth Street #106, Moreno Valley, CA 92553. Light refreshments will be served. “Moreno Valley has great potential to be an economic powerhouse in the region,” She said in a statement. “I am proud to call Moreno Valley my home and I am asking fellow residents to cast their vote for me to become the first elected mayor of our great City.” In her statement, Then says she will work to unite the city, create business opportunities that will propel into the future and ensure safe and sustainable communities. “I am not a career politician,” Then said. “I am a retired military veteran and have worked as a university IT Director and engineer. I am now a professor and teach the use of information technology in business and a County Commissioner, where I advocate for women and young families. I also am a member of the Moreno Valley Unified School District’s Measure M Citizen’s Oversight Committee, where I ensure accountability of your tax dollars. I am a member of the board of directors for Community Connect, a non-profit organization that serves Riverside County residents. I owe allegiance only to you, the citizens of Moreno Valley, and I will have your best interest in mind as the basis for every decision I make.
