So, you’ve been thinking of taking out that green lawn and replacing it with some water-wise, drought-tolerant plants?  Whether it's that incentive from the local water authority or that you know how beautiful your yard can look with succulents and cacti, this is the time to incorporate low water usage into your landscape.  Do you want to learn more about these amazing plants?  You’re in luck!

The Gates Cactus and Succulent Society’s 43rd Annual Show and Sale is returning to Redlands on May 11-12, 2018.  This mega event brings together dozens of professionals and hobbyists to celebrate and appreciate all things- cactus and succulent.  This two day event will include an outdoor plant sale where you can shop from the thousands of rare and unusual plants.  Whether it’s that Aloe, Echeveria, Euphorbia, Agave, Opuntia, or Pachypodium you’ve been wanting, there is sure to be many plants you have never heard or known.  You will certainly find that succulent you need to complete your landscape.

The plant show will feature hundreds of plant exhibits from members of the society.  Here’s where you will experience how these magnificent plants are grown and staged for competition.  Some of these exhibit plants have taken years to perfect and many are one-of-a-kind in its presentation.  You may have seen cactus and succulent in the garden or even in their natural habitat, but seeing them in this exhibit form will truly amaze even the seasoned cactophiles.

All events have free admission at the Redlands Church of the Nazarene (The ARK), 1307 East Citrus Ave. Redlands, CA 92374.  The plant sale will be from 9 AM until 4 PM on both May 11th and 12th.  The plant show will be open only on Saturday May 12th from 9 AM until 4 PM.  Club members will be available to assist in answering your questions and offering tips on growing and caring for your cacti and succulents.
