CRIME REPORT: Felon in Possession of Handgun and Cocaine

SAN BERNARDINO >> On Sunday, May 8, 2016 Deputy Gile contacted Jefferson after observing him jaywalk across a city street. During the contact, a cursory search was made on Jefferson for officer safety purposes. Jefferson was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun. Jefferson was also in possession of suspected rock cocaine, packaged for sales. Jefferson is a convicted felon with a prior strike. The gun’s origin is still under investigation. Jefferson was arrested and booked into Central Detention Center. Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to contact Central Station at (909) 387-3545.
