Artists and Performers Sought For Moreno Valley ArtoberFest

The Moreno Valley Arts Commission is seeking applications from performers and artists to participate in the Moreno Valley's 8th annual ArtoberFest. This free family-oriented cultural event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Conference & Recreation Center, located at 14075 Frederick Street. There are great opportunities for local artists to showcase their talent at this well-attended event: * Exhibit: Booth spaces are available for $35. A City of Moreno Valley business license and an application to exhibit is required for artists who plan to sell CDs, artwork, jewelry, crafts, etc. * Perform: Simply submit applicable application(s) to perform. All applications must be received by Wednesday, Sept. 23. Entertainment includes painting demonstrations, poetry readings, and outstanding performances from singers, dancers, and musicians. Additionally, there will be plenty of great food, a beer garden, and a car show. Registration for the car show is $20 prior to the event and $30 the day of the show. Families, friends and the community at large are invited to attend this wonderful day of celebrating the arts.
