On July 4th this year, the city of Moreno Valley ok'd a 4th of July parade. But in remembrance of the victims of the Coronavirus, which devastated our country and the world, the City's former Park Commissioner, James C Baker II, felt that it was great to have a parade again, but felt it necessary to pay respect to the victims of this terrible pandemic. Therefore, we built a float and wanted to dedicate it to the victims. The Liberty 6 Float was designed to acknowledge, those that are now missing from the dinner table. A lone chair represents those people who are not with us anymore. On the float during the parade, a guitarist played music to the empty chair. Special thanks to Miss Inland Empire Brittan Baxter and her mother LaVonda Baxter for doing a marvelous job fully decorating the float. Baker said, "Our goal and purpose for this float embodies its theme, We will never forget."
