Spiritual Spotlight 3

I begin this week’s article with that it is the will of God that all should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people 1 Timothy 2:4-6. So the question is, saved from what? Saved from your sins that were committed against God who created you in His imagine, and wakes you up every day not that you would live for your own selfish pleasures but live your life for who He created you to be. The Kingdom of God is waiting for us to walk into, but Jesus made it clear that first we must be born again to be able to see it and enter it John 3:3-5. I know for some that might leave you scratching your heads, and others have probably accepted it but for whatever reason have left it, nonetheless allow me to bring it closer to home. The Kingdom of God is a whole new perspective and lifestyle that differates from the one we have been raised to know. It’s where Gods priorities become our priorities, His laws become our laws and His perspective on people and the materialistic become ours. It’s forgetting everything that we thought was important and being born again to learn a whole new way of life straight from God Himself, all He needs is someone willing to give Him the time. Sounds easy enough but it takes discipline and commitment, courage and perserverance for the opposition against you will arise, anything and everything to discourage you not to proceed. The reward at the end, heaven, eternal life! This is being born again for the Kingdom and if there was anything you ever wanted to invest in, that won’t fade away or waste your life chasing, this is it. The best part about it is that its free of charge, for the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy our lives, but Christ Jesus came that we may have life, and life more abundantly. Ask yourselves this question, everything I have done and lived for, wasted my efforts and time on, what has it really produced? Did you waste many hours at a job trying to pursue a career and now wish you would have spent more time with your family. Did you follow your own heart in a relationship you thought was the one to find out it was hell on earth? A lot of times we have baggage we bring into our relationships and are not willing to change our ways and forgive, or our suspicions and jealousy, caused by fear destroy that commitment. If you see the fruit and you’re ok with it, then keep on doing what you’re doing, but if you want something new, righteousness (right standing with God), joy and peace, then I got one name for you. His name is Jesus, and He is the lover of your soul, and will be the Captain of your ship if you let Him, he has your best interest in mind. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for Me will find it! No matter if were new to Jesus, or been around for years, we constantly need that renewing of the mind, that born again ness from the popular culture and the systems of the world. We should as believers should have a non-negiotable, to live by Kingdom standards.
