The Department of Veterans Affairs is pleased to announce Monday, July 1, the appointment of Barbara Fallen, FACHE, as the new Director of the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System. Fallen will oversee delivery of health care to more than 65,000 Veterans and an operating budget of $463 million. “We are excited to bring Ms. Fallen on board as the new director of VA Loma Linda Healthcare System. Her sound leadership qualities and proven experience will be valuable assets for the facility, the employees and volunteers, and most importantly, for the Veterans we are honored to serve,” said Stan Johnson, MHA, FACHE, VA Desert Pacific Healthcare Network Director. “She will begin her appointment on July 1, 2013.” Fallen joined the VA more than 30 years ago. Most recently she served as Deputy Network Director of the VA Desert Pacific Healthcare Network. She received a Master of Public Administration and Health Administration degree from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition from San Diego State University. Fallen is board certified as a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives.
