Who needs to move when love is right in the neighborhood? Last June, Jimmy Tornell and Clarice La Terra were planning to relocate from Sun Lakes Country Club. Jimmy to San Diego; Clarice to Vancouver, Wash. Plans changed when they met after giving blood at a LifeStream blood drive – and found they had more in common than the desire to help save lives. “Neither move happened,” laughed La Terra. Now, Tornell and La Terra are planning their wedding. The two obviously covered a lot of ground in the 15 minutes following their blood donations while they munched on cookies and sipped fluids. “We struck up a conversation and found out we both lived in Sun Lakes Country Club,” recalled La Terra. “We also discovered we attended the same church and had many of the same interests. Our birthdays are just four days apart, too!” The two cherish the memories of their respective pasts while creating new experiences and memories in their new life together. What is one of their go-to places? “Oh, we still go to LifeStream to donate blood,” said La Terra. “But now, we go together.”
