Latin Flair Heats Up Colton

On July 27, the city of Colton hosted their weekly Concert in the Park at Fleming Park by hosting the band Latin Flair. Consisting of nine members, Latin Flair is an Inland Empire based band that plays a variety of Latino music including salsa, cumbia, Tejano, and bachata from across Latin America. Not only did their performance consisted of popular Latino music, Latin Flair also played numerous popular songs ranging from R&B, soul, and pop music from artists including Earth Wind and Fire and Kool and the Gang. Sponsoring and running the event was the Colton Community Services Department. Volunteers including, Laura Mitchell, Lisa Sandoval, and Jose Meca who helped concert goers with information about the 31 Days of Play motives, inform how people can get involved, and distribute raffle tickets for prizes throughout the concert. The park was packed with people from all over the Inland Empire eager to relax, enjoy the cool summer air, and unwind with some nice live music. As Latin Flair played for the large crowd, people young and old showed their enthusiasm by dancing and singing along to their music and performance.
