The Unforgettables Foundation (TUF), a 20 year old 501 (c) (3) charity based in Redlands, has just completed a tremendously busy 3 month series of cutting edge events with a flurry of activity. Beginning on December 31, with the 19th Annual Lights of Little Lives Community Walk (which gives parents a chance to light a candle for and say the name of the child they’ve lost in front of 200+ attendees), and through the 3 consecutive Unforgettables Hearts Awards in February (February 8th in Redlands, February 15th in Victorville, February 22 in Rancho Mirage) to recognize a total of over 100 individuals, families, foundations  and businesses that do great good for families, children, and other charities, a lot of visitors learned about the mission of mercy.

To conclude the wild stretch of successful events, TUF presented on March 14 & 15 the inaugural Stan Morrison’s Unforgettable Guest Lecture meeting with keynoter Dr. James Garbarino of University of Chicago Loyola, (and guest responses from La Sierra University and Loma Linda University (Provost Dr. Ronald Carter) at the Mission Inn Hotel in Riverside, as well as Dr. Garbarinos’ 2nd speech at Cal State University San Bernardino – Palm Desert Campus for the 6th Annual Children and Families in Crisis Conference on the topic of When Kids Kill Other Kids – advice on youth violence. Other conference contributing speakers and panelists were Terrance Stone of Young Visionaries’ Leadership Academy in San Bernardino, along with Henrie Watkins, Chief Joseph Paulino, Public Defender Kellie Byward, and Assoc. School Superintendent of Riverside County Sharon Baskett – on the expert’s group. TUF Founder and Desert Communities AFP Nonprofit Executive of The Year 2018/19 Tim Evans moderated.

Dr. Garbarino is the world leading research authority on ways youth – boys and girls – do violence like school shootings. He has written many books like, “Lost Boys” and “I interview Murders”.

Ending the winter wrap up was the Annual American Legion (post 777) golf event to benefit The Unforgettables Foundation and Challenger Baseball for Special Needs youngster in Highland and San Bernardino. Small charities like The Unforgettables greatly benefit from groups that do fundraisers to benefit them. TUF help families who have lost a child with burial expenses from ages 18 to 30 weeks of pregnancy across Riverside, Orange, and San Bernardino Counties.

For a low capacity cause with only 1.5 full time employee positions – The Unforgettables Foundation has a volunteer team of over 75 skilled helpers who step up and step in to get a big job done, all year long!
