Children’s Fund, in collaboration with other non-profit partners, is hosting a Give BIG San Bernardino County event on May 8, 2014 at the historic California Theatre of the Performing Arts from 4 – 6 p.m. Additional participating partners are Child Care Resource Center, San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra, the Unforgettables Foundation and Sinfonia Mexicana. Give BIG San Bernardino County is a one-day online fundraising campaign for non-profits in San Bernardino County that will take place on May 8 from 7 a.m. until May 9 at 7 a.m. “There are more than 250 non-profits participating in the Give BIG San Bernardino County campaign,” states Erin Phillips, president & CEO of Children’s Fund and member of the Steering Committee for Give BIG San Bernardino County. “This is a great way for non-profits to rally together in our County and gain the much needed support of the public. We encourage friends of these organizations to come out on May 8th and show your support.” The event being held at the California Theatre of the Performing Arts will have a musical performance by the Loma Linda Brass Quintet and a performance by the Sinfonia Mexicana. Enjoy wine and cheese while participating in the Give BIG San Bernardino County campaign. “Your generous donations to the 24-hour fundraising web-a-thon will make a positive impact to the children in our local communities. Please, give what you can – even a $10 gift can turn into $500 for your favorite non-profit,” says Phillips. Laptops will be available at the theatre so donations can easily be made. Donations can be made in advance by going to www.givebigsbcounty.org and selecting the non-profit of your choice for donating. For more information call 909.379.0000.
