Auto Club Speedway President Dave Allen announced recently that Fritz Maskrey has been promoted to the position of vice president of corporate partnerships, effectively immediately. Maskrey recently served as senior director of corporate sales and marketing at Auto Club Speedway, a position he's held since June 2006. He joined the company in September 2000 as an account executive. “Fritz is a proven leader with depth across the board in sales, sponsorships and marketing,” said Allen. “He has demonstrated the ability to deliver results. We look forward to his continued leadership in these areas in his new role.” In his new position, Maskrey will continue to develop and maintain a sales and marketing staff that drives revenue for Auto Club Speedway while providing the industry standard in customer service. He will focus on areas of development including naming rights, entitlement partnerships, all hospitality facilities, official status sponsorships and national accounts for ISC. He will also work on strategic marketing and promotional alliances with current partners including Auto Club of Southern California, the Riverside Press-Enterprise and O’Reilly Auto Parts. Among many highlights since joining Auto Club Speedway, Maskrey was instrumental in multiple fan-partner innovations including the Toyota Speed Trap and Fuzzy’s Pit Box Lounge. He also secured title sponsors for the NASCAR Xfinity Series event March 21 (TreatMyClot.com 300) as well as the Verizon INDYCAR event June 27 (MAVTV 500) as well as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Entitlement at Chicagoland Speedway event Sept. 14 (My Afib Story 400).
