San Bernardino >> SBVC Women's Soccer sophomore midfielder Danielle Kakebeen (Rancho Cucamonga H.S.) has signed a letter of intent with McPherson College. Kakebeen participated in all 44 games for SBVC in her two years, leading to a first team All-Foothill Conference selection in 2015. Her best game of this season came at Golden West on Sept. 1, where she scored her first goal of the season and helped secure the victory. Kakebeen scored 6 goals and had 4 assists in her two year career at SBVC. The team finished the season ranked 7th in the nation by the NSCAA, ending the year with a 16-3-3 overall record and a 6-1-1 conference record. They were rewarded with a #5 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. As a reward for their seventh Conference Championship, the team was bestowed with the Conference MVP award, four first team All-Conference honors and four second team All-Conference honors. McPherson College is located in McPherson, Kansas, which is about 60 miles north of Wichita and about 120 miles south of the Nebraska-Kansas border. The McPherson Bulldogs play at McPherson Stadium, and the team is coached by 13th year head coach, Doug Quint. In the 2015 season, the Bulldogs went 5-4-1 in conference play finishing 5th, with an overall record of 9-8-1, concluding the season in the KCAC Postseason Tournament. McPherson College is in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) of NAIA.
