The City of Moreno Valley is proud to announce $1 million in federal funding for a new Workforce Development and Business Incubator building. Congressman Mark Takano secured these funds as part of the community funding projects included in the Fiscal Year 2024 appropriations process.

“On behalf of the City, I want to express our gratitude to Congressman Takano for securing these federal funds for the new Workforce Development and Business Incubator Building,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera. “These funds will expand our efforts to create great local jobs and bolster the non-profit organizations and businesses that serve our community.”

“Training in specialized trades and jobs is critical to keeping the City of Moreno Valley competitive in the local, regional, and global economy,” said Congressman Mark Takano. “This funding will allow the City to pursue a workforce and job training facility to serve businesses and non-profit organizations. I am proud to support funding for this project and congratulate the City of Moreno Valley on its successful application.”

The City will continue to work with Congressman Takano, his staff, and the federal government on their process to receive funds. The funding comes as a result of the City's ongoing partnership with Congressman Takano to pursue funding for projects and programs that benefit the Moreno Valley community. Moreno Valley's invaluable partnership with Congressman Takano has yielded millions of dollars of Federal Funding to support veterans, kids, jobseekers, and unhoused members of our community, as well as many other vital programs and services.
