Little League Holds Early Registration

GRAND TERRACE>> The Grand Terrace Little League is holding early registration dates for those interested in signing up for baseball, softball and T-ball. Grand Terrace Little League welcomes athletes from the areas of Grand Terrace, Cooley Ranch, Reche Canyon, Highgrove and Loma Linda. Grand Terrace Little League is a league dedicated to the love of the game while having fun learning. The remaining dates to receive $10 off for early registration include Saturday, Dec. 3 and Saturday Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All registration dates are held at Veterans Freedom Park, formerly known as Pico Park. The park is located at 21950 Pico St. in Grand Terrace. The price for registration includes $95 for T-ball and $125 for baseball and softball. For registration on time, the dates include Jan. 5 and 19 from 6-8 p.m. and Jan 7, 14, 21, 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tryouts will take place Feb. 4, 11 and 18 and with times to still be determined. At this time, participants who have not yet registered can register late with an additional $10 late fee. A birth certificate and three proofs of residency are required for registration. According to the mission statement, the purpose of the association is to provide training, instruction, teamwork and good sportsmanship, along with fundamental skills of the game. Players are encouraged to respect teammates and opponents, and to develop a sense of self-esteem. For more information, email grandterracelittleleague@yahoo.com.
