COLTON>> The Colton Police Officers Association and members of the department participated in No Shave November to help bring awareness for a special cause. No Shave November is a movement that is devoted to growing cancer awareness by embracing hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free. Participants donate the money typically spent on shaving and grooming to educate others about cancer prevention, save lives and aid those fighting the battle. More than 40 members of the Colton Police Department participated in the venue, generating more than $2,000. Proceeds from the No Shave November go to American Cancer Society and St Jude’s Children Research Hospital. The Colton Police Officers Association is a nonprofit organization that serves the proud membership of Colton POA.
