San Bernardino Homicide

On the morning of September 23, 2018, at approximately 1:47 a.m., the San Bernardino Police Department’s Dispatch Center received a call of shots heard in the area of the 1500 block of W 8th Street.  Patrol officers were dispatched to the scene and while they were responding, a local hospital called in to report that a shooting victim had just been dropped off at the Emergency Room with life threatening injuries.  Additional officers responded to the hospital to investigate. 

Officers responding to the shots heard call were able to locate evidence of the shooting in the 1500 block of W 8th Street and evidence that the victim at the hospital was connected to the shooting scene. 

The victim succumbed to his injuries and the Homicide Unit responded to assume the investigation.  At this point the Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s assistance with information regarding this incident.
