GRAND TERRACE >> Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside is partnering with the City of Grand Terrace to offer a Summer Swim Program at Grand Terrace High School and it is not too late to join. The Club is providing Red Cross-certified lifeguards and instructors for the program, which is for ages 5-18 as well as adults, including senior citizens. The program started in June and ends July 29. “We’re happy to work with the City of Grand Terrace to not only provide a place to cool down on hot summer days, but also work with kids to make them water safe through our instructional swimming programs,” said P.T. McEwen, CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs. The program includes water exercise for adults over the age of 21 and seniors, beginning swim classes for youth ages 6-17, and open swimming for all ages. It runs Monday through Friday at Grand Terrace High School, located at 1810 Main St. Grand Terrace, CA 92313. For schedules, costs and liability and application forms, go to www.grandterrace-ca.gov and click on “Blue Mountain Summer Swim.” Each person who signs up will receive a Summer Swim ID card.
