This past Sunday, Deputies at the Chino Hills station were called about an assault that took place around 11 pm at the 11100 block of Kadota Avenue in Montclair.  Upon arrival, the deputies located a 62 year old man with severe trauma wounds on his upper torso and he was then transported to a local hospital, where he was placed on life support equipment and in critical condition.  The deputies were informed that a female was seen assaulting the injured man.  After performing a thorough search, they located the alleged suspect, Deijah Omar Curtis, 22, near Ninth and Kadota avenues in the unincorporated area of Montclair.  Curtis was arrested Sunday evening and booked into the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on suspicion of attempted murder.  She is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.  The victim was from Colton and due to the seriousness of the injuries, the sheriff’s homicide investigators are conducting an investigation.  A motive for the beating has not been determined and the two individuals didn’t know each other.

Anyone who has any information about the matter can contact Detective Kevin McCurdy or Sgt. Jerry Davenport at 909-387-3589 or contact WeTip Hotline at 800-78-CRIME (27463) or you can visit the web site at www.wetip.com.  Any information on what happened would be appreciated.
