Spring Comes Early for Children

REDLANDS>> While some may be enjoying the winter weather, spring is around the corner and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside is offering two weeks of day camp over spring break in March. The day camp is for children ages 5-14 and runs from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Hansberger Clubhouse in Redlands. Dates that are available for the day camp include March 13-17 and March 20-24. Each week will feature a spring-related theme including the first week’s theme as “Irish Spring” since St. Patrick’s Day is on Friday, March 17. The theme of the second week, March 20-24, is “Somewhere over the Rainbow”. For $100 per week/per child, children will have the opportunity to go on field trips and participate in special activities. The first week includes a field trip to the Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center, where members can explore the site for dinosaur fossils and learn about earth science. During the second week’s field trip, the children will go to Big Air Trampoline Park in Redlands to spring into some fun. Members will also have the opportunity to participate in other projects that are educational and spring related, as well as go to the Community Center gym everyday. Scholarships and early-bird discounts are also available. The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside is to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside has served the Inland Empire since 1967, and has sites in the communities of Alta Loma, Corona, Loma Linda, Mentone, Moreno Valley, Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, Riverside, San Bernardino and Victorville.
