Unique Hair and Nails Comes to Grand Terrace

Grand Terrace welcomed in a new hair and nail salon this year: Unique Hair and Nails owned by Grand Terrace resident, Vicki Tran. Tran has worked in the hair and nails business since 1995, almost 20 years of experience. Tran and her family are originally from Vietnam. They moved over here to the United States in 1993. As she moved back to Colton from Chicago in 2003, it was only a couple years later that she brought her hair and nails expertise to Colton as she took a job at Jennifer’s Hair and Nail Salon located on Mount Vernon Avenue. Nearly 10 years went by as the salon kept growing, and Tran gained many regular customers that would go right back to her for every check up. However, on Jan. 2, 2015, she officially moved her store to the new Grand Terrace location: 22310 Barton Road #C. “We wanted something new,” she said. “When we saw Unique Hair and Nails we thought it was such a good location, that’s why we wanted to take over this place.” Although they’re in a new community, many of her regular customers are from various neighborhood communities, not just Colton. She added, “We have a lot of customers from Reche Canyon, Loma Linda, and Grand Terrace, too.” Many of her avid customers from Colton followed her out to Grand Terrace. “Even though I have some of the same customers, I also have many new customers,” she explained. “My new customers say they love me and they do come back…I love the people up here in Grand Terrace; they’re very friendly.”
