Time for Change Foundation’s (TFCF) 20th Anniversary Awards Gala “Once Upon A Time” will honor outstanding individuals and organizations that go above and beyond for our community and continue to make a difference in the lives of others.

It is with great honor and respect that the Time for Change Foundation announces that Carmen Perez-Jordan and Jay Jordan will be honored with the Dynamic Duo Award for their commitment to end restrictions and barriers on people living with past convictions.

Carmen Perez is an award-winning, internationally known civil and human rights leader and Chicana feminist. She is the President and CEO of The Gathering for Justice and co-founder of Justice League NYC and Justice League CA. These entities are state-based task forces for advancing a juvenile and criminal justice reform agenda. She is also a co-founder of Poderistas.

She was one of the National Co-Chairs of the 2017 Women’s March on Washington, an organizing campaign that drew over 5 million people across the globe.

Jay is a nationally recognized public policy expert, political campaign specialist, organizer, climate activist, and entrepreneur. He was recently promoted to CEO of the Alliance for Safety and Justice, a multi-state organization working to replace over-incarceration with more effective public safety solutions rooted in crime prevention, community health, rehabilitation, and support for crime victims. Jay is also the National Director of #TimeDone, a campaign to end restrictions and barriers on people living with past convictions.

Other Award Honorees include:

Susan Burton of A New Way of Life Reentry Project with the Harriet Tubman Legacy Award, Patty Favela with the Ramos Family Spirit of Compassion Award, Vickie Lobo of Knock Knock Angels with the Nancy Varner Angel Award.

Time for Change Foundation’s 20th Anniversary Awards Gala will be held virtually on April 28th, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
