In late Dec., Job's Daughters, Bethel 35, in Moreno Valley held their semi-annual Installation of Officers in a formal public ceremony at the Montee Masonic Center. Following the chosen theme - “Reveal the Beauty Behind the Mask” - the officers carried hand-decorated masquerade masks in purple with white and black feathers. These were selected and lovingly created by the in-going Honored Queen, Savanah Moore who has also planned a full calendar of activities, fundraisers, and service projects. The installation ceremonies happen twice a year, once in June and again in December. The current six-month term will be presided over by Savanah Moore, Honored Queen, and her corps of officers: Desiree Dernoncourt, Lerina Galba-Bright, Melissa Gonzalez, Simone Martin, and Brizza Vasquez. The officers were formally introduced, and after having agreed to their duties, a proclamation was read to duly install each officer. The head of the adult volunteers, known as the Bethel Guardian Council, Annette Stauber explained that the Job’s Daughters enjoyed volunteering at the Veteran’s Hospital in Loma Linda and plan to return again in upcoming months. In addition, the members will spend much time preparing to attend the Job’s Daughters state-wide convention coming this June in Vislia, CA, carrying greetings and pride of representing Moreno Valley. Job’s Daughters International is a Masonic-sponsored youth organization for young women aged 10 through 20. “We strive to provide a wholesome environment based on the foundation of high morals, love of country, love of family and friends, and respect for others throughout the world,” said Ms. Stauber who added, “Pre-teen and teenage girls need support from their peers and it is here in abundance.” You can learn more about the Moreno Valley Job’s Daughters and their activities by visiting www.morenovalleyjobsdaughters.com or by calling Ms. Stauber at 909-255-2202.
