Blueprints and Boots

In November of 2019, Habitat For Humanity, San Bernardino Area plans on breaking ground on three new homes for low-income first-time homebuyers, providing zero percent equivalent mortgages for current residents of San Bernardino County. The lots are located on the corner of 9th and H Street, in a San Bernardino neighborhood that is on the north-west border of the City’s Downtown Development Project area.

There will be an Orientation event scheduled for all interested San Bernardino County residents to attend in order to find out how they may qualify for this program. The orientation event will take place twice in October, both in English and Spanish, with specific dates, times and locations still to be confirmed. Please visit the website at www.habitatsb.org where the details will be posted soon, or you can call the Habitat office at 909-478-1176 to have your email address added to the notification list.

To support this project, Habitat has planned an Old West-themed Blueprints and Boots “fun-raiser” event at the San Bernardino County Museum Saturday night, September 28, 2019. We will enjoy a traditional Western-style BBQ dinner catered by Mentone’s own Mill Creek Cattle Company amid the songs of Redlands-based singing group, Rhymes with Orange. Also, we are excited to host a re-telling of the Tombstone/Ok Corral stories by the “kin” of the actual participants at that historic event, who live here in the Inland Empire – the Earp Brothers!

Details for the event and RSVP instructions are available on the website at www.habitatsb.org.
