Auto Club Speedway officials recently announced that the first annual PRD Pan-American Crown of Karting event will be added to the MAVTV 500 INDYCAR World Championships scheduled at Auto Club Speedway, Oct. 18 through 19. Race fans attending the MAVTV 500 weekend can also watch the inaugural PRD Pan-American Crown of Karting event as the track will weave its way into the Auto Club Speedway FanZone area. Approximately six tenths of a mile long, this track will be constructed exclusively for the PRD Pan-American Crown go-karting event. Tickets for practice and qualifying for the go-karting and INDYCAR qualifying on Friday, Oct. 18 can be purchased for as low as $20. Tickets for Saturday, Oct. 19 start at $30 and are good for both the PRD Pan-American Crown of Karting event and the MAVTV 500 INDYCAR World Championships. Children 12 and under are free all weekend when accompanied by a paid adult in the general admission sections. The PRD Pan-Am Crown will feature world class drivers, of all ages, from Canada, Mexico, South America and the United States. These drivers will be competing in six high-performance, high-horsepower classes. A maximum of 36 qualified drivers will be accepted in each class. The top 3 finishers in each class will receive awards. Additionally, special awards will be presented to Honda Mini and PRD Cadet.
