ALL>> The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), unveiled the team’s 2017-18 promotional schedule today.
The Reign’s 10th Anniversary celebration of hockey in the Inland Empire kicks off with Opening Weekend on Friday, October 20 and Saturday, October 21 at Citizens Business Bank Arena. On Friday, the Reign will wear exclusive 10th Anniversary jerseys (home white), during the game. The first 5,000 fans will receive an Ontario Reign 10th Anniversary banner presented by Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and an Ontario Reign 10th Anniversary clapper presented by Baker’s Drive-Thru.
After a record-breaking season in the community last season, the Reign are making an even stronger commitment to the Inland Empire through fundraising and volunteering with the Hope Reigns Foundation. Toss new or gently used stuffed animals for families in need during the Holiday season at the annual Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday, December 16. Support the Ronald McDonald House Inland Empire on Wear Your Stripes Night, Wednesday, November 1. Be a community hero and grab a custom Reign game jersey on American Red Cross Super Hero Night, Wednesday, January 10 and support our furry companions on Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley Jersey Day, Sunday, March 11.
The Reign and San Antonio Regional Hospital team up for three nights throughout the season! Grab an exclusive game-worn jersey on San Antonio Regional Hospital Night, Saturday, November 4. Stay warm with an Ontario Reign Blanket presented by San Antonio Regional Hospital, Wednesday, November 22 for the first 5,000 fans. Knock out breast cancer and receive a special Pink Ontario Reign Blanket for the first 5,000 fans, during the Third Annual Pink in the Rink, Saturday, February 3, presented by San Antonio Regional Hospital.
LA Kings Affiliate Night is Friday, December 1 and presented by University of La Verne. Join everyone’s favorite princesses and board the Black Pearl on Princess and Pirates Day, Saturday, December 23, with a special family start time of 3:00 p.m.
Be on the lookout for some old friends when the Ontario Reign turn back the clock to 2008 for Throwback Night on Friday, December 15 when the Reign wear original ECHL dragon-inspired jerseys. Celebrate ALL-IN Member Eric Bean for his very own theme night on Wednesday, December 20. The mystery of the Last Jedi will be revealed on Star Wars Night, Friday, December 29. The new Wild West Night promises to be a haymaker of a game and the first 5,000 fans will receive a Sprouts Reusable Grocery Bag on Saturday, January 13.
Ring in 2018 with the Ontario Reign, Sunday, December 31, at 6:00 p.m., when Citizens Business Bank Arena ignites during the New Year’s Eve Postgame Fireworks and Laser Show presented by Bud Light! The Ontario Reign on New Year’s Eve will wear special Nickname Warm-Up jerseys for the first ever Ontario Reign Social Media Night!
Try your luck for a game-worn green and gold Reign jersey and grab a Reign Leprechaun Bobblehead presented by Foddrill Construction (first 5,000 fans), on St. Paddy’s Day, Saturday, March 17. The Reign honor the men and women of the Armed Forces on Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, April 6.
Wrap up the season and push the Reign into the 2018 Calder Cup Playoffs on Fan Appreciation Night on Friday, April 13. The Reign will conclude the season long celebration with 10th Anniversary jerseys (home black) and pick up a special Liqui Moly Ontario Reign keychain (first 5,000 fans)!
