This fall, Senator Mike Morrell (R-Rancho Cucamonga) joined with chambers of commerce from around the 23rd Senate District to recognize businesses for their contributions to the economy at the 2015 Top Chamber Business Awards. “It’s a privilege each year to team up with our local chambers of commerce to acknowledge the good work being done by businesses in our community,” said Morrell. “I want to thank these businesses for their contributions to our region and for continuing to persevere, even through tough economic times.” The Top Chamber Business Awards is an annual collaborative event put on by Senator Morrell and regional chambers of commerce to promote local businesses who have shown a commitment to the communities they serve. It is also an opportunity to network and discuss what it will take for California to rebuild its image as a friendly place for entrepreneurs to invest and create jobs, which could include potential ideas for legislation. Each participating chamber nominates up to three businesses to be honored and selects one for recognition as the “Top Chamber Business.” The announcements are revealed the day of the event. “The Top Chamber Business Awards is about bringing people together to celebrate success and shine a spotlight on these businesses’ achievements,” continued Morrell. “It is not always easy to thrive in California. Once again, our chambers of commerce have done an outstanding job choosing this year’s honorees.” The 2015 event took place at the Orton Center on the University of Redlands campus and honored 53 businesses.
