Riverside County Department of Waste Resources held a fun and eco-friendly crafting session!  The department held a free workshop to make a Do It Yourself (DIY) Teacup Succulent arrangement to take home and enjoy.  A Recycling Specialist walked you through the steps to make a simple reuse project to upcycle a teacup into a charming planter for succulents.  The workshop was held  on Saturday, May 11, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and all materials were provided at the workshop. Gently used teacups and mugs for this project were generously donated by the Assistance League of Riverside https://www.assistanceleague.org/riverside/.

The Waste Resources Department offers a variety of FREE environmental education classes related to waste reduction and sustainability. Class instructors provide attendees with professional learning and instructional materials that demonstrate environmental diversion themes such as composting, recycling, and green cleaning. These programs are offered to increase awareness of waste reduction and advantages of recycling to help preserve valuable space in county landfills.
