Under the warm glow of a summer evening and a canopy of stars, Grand Terrace came alive in spectacular fashion for what may very well become the city’s newest summertime tradition. Hosted at the Park Centers Shopping Center , the Hot August Night GT event brought to life by the Greater Grand Terrace Chamber of Commerce, Cars and Coffee Grand Terrace,  Get Loaded, &  Community Vendor liaison Christina Phelps, was nothing short of extraordinary.

With the backdrop of a golden California sunset and the sounds of laughter echoing through the plaza, the night pulsed with community pride, small business celebration, and summertime fun.

Over 40 Vendors & Food Trucks Set the Stage

From the moment the first families arrived, the plaza transformed into a bustling festival grounds. Over 40 local vendors and five mouthwatering food trucks lined the walkways and parking lots, creating a sensory experience of sizzling street food, handcrafted goods, fresh lemonade, handmade soaps, boutique clothing, and unique artisan crafts. The dedicated food court area kept bellies full and spirits high.

From brick-and-mortar favorites who opened their doors late to join the fun, to homegrown vendors showcasing their passion projects, the entire community showed up and showed out. The event became a living, breathing marketplace of local talent, passion, and entrepreneurship.

A True Community Showcase

But Hot August Night GT was more than a market—it was a celebration of community spirit. The event featured informational booths, nonprofits, and youth teams, including appearances by Colton Cheer and the GT Titans Wrestling Team. Don Von Hot Rod , Police and Fire Department representatives joined the festivities, connecting with residents in a relaxed, festive environment. From bubbles floating through the air to balloon animals and interactive games, there was something for everyone.

DJ CC kept the energy high, spinning feel-good hits, hosting raffles, and keeping the party going with games, crowd interaction, and shoutouts to the many sponsors and volunteers who made the night possible. Her lively personality turned the event into a dance party, a talent show, and a block party all in one.

Leaders, Representatives & Local Love

The evening saw Grand Terrace’s City Council, Mayor, and community leaders mingling with residents, shopping at booths, and joining in the fun. Their presence underscored just how special the event was not only in spirit but in civic pride.

Also in attendance were Toni Rosales, representing Leticia Castillo, and Ariel Gonzales , representative for Assemblywoman Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh. Their presence added another layer of significance to the evening, showing support not only for the local businesses but also for the community members who power them. Their engagement was a powerful reminder that local events like this resonate far beyond city borders—they inspire regional support and recognition.

This wasn’t just another night out; it was a collective moment of celebrating the small businesses, organizations, and residents who make Grand Terrace feel like home.

A Night Made Possible by Many

The event was a beautiful example of what happens when business, community, and creativity unite. None of it would have been possible without the tireless collaboration of the Greater Grand Terrace Chamber of Commerce, Cars and Coffee Grand Terrace, Get Loaded, and over 25 participating local businesses and organizations and our beloved businesses in the parks center shopping center.

A New Summer Staple?

With glowing reviews, packed booths, and smiling faces, there’s no doubt that Hot August Night GT has the potential to become Grand Terrace’s signature summer celebration. What started as a dream became a reality one built on collaboration, love for local business, and the deep-rooted spirit of a community that continues to shine brighter every year.

The businesses thank Grand Terrace, for showing up, showing love, and making Hot August Night GT a night to remember and in turn the community and collective of GT , is grateful for everyone who made this possible.
