The City of Riverside will officially recognize the birthday of Dale Roberts with an official Dell Roberts Day on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, to celebrate the 90th birthday of community leader and civic champion Dell Roberts. The ceremonial event will take place at 3:00 p.m. in the Riverside City Council Chambers at City Hall, 3900 Main Street, Riverside, CA 92501.

Dell Roberts has been an integral part of the Riverside community for decades, demonstrating unwavering commitment to civic engagement and community service.

“I am humbled and appreciative of the city's recognition of my 90th birthday and of the contributions I have made to the city,” said Roberts.

His contributions span multiple sectors, including leadership as President of the Bordwell Park Advisory Board; an instrumental role with the Adrian Dell and Carmen Roberts Foundation; the annual Riverside Black History Parade, now in its 46th year; and dedication to various community initiatives that have enriched Riverside residents' lives.

"Dell Roberts exemplifies the very best of our community spirit," said Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson. "His 90 years have been marked by service, integrity, and a genuine passion for making Riverside a better place for all."

The celebration will bring together an impressive array of local, state, and national elected officials, including U.S. Congressman Mark Takano, California State Senator Sabrina Cervantes, State Assemblymember Corey Jackson, and Riverside County Supervisor Jose Medina, among others. Community leaders from education, faith-based organizations, civil rights advocacy, and business sectors will also attend to honor Dell's legacy.

This free, public event invites the entire community to join in celebrating Dell Roberts' significant contributions to Riverside. To RSVP for Dell Roberts Day, visit https://eztxt.net/4o6Eet
