SAN BERNARDINO>> East Valley Water District provided customers with an opportunity to get an inside look at district facilities Sept.29. The annual trip is free and features a tour of various well sites, booster stations and the surface water treatment plant. “This event provides our customers with the ability to see district operations first hand,” said Board Chairman Ron Coats. “The tour highlights the intricate processes in place to operate a world class organization.” The district offers two opportunities each year to feature their water production and distribution system covering a 30.1 square mile service area. The Facilities Tour is held during the fall season and includes visits to the North Fork Intake, District Headquarters and seven plant facilities. The North Fork Tour guides guests through the San Bernardino National Forest to visit the headwaters of the Santa Ana River, North Fork Intake, two Southern California Edison facilities and the Seven Oaks Dam. This event occurs each year in the spring. Both trips are day-long excursions beginning at the District’s headquarters. “Serving our customers with reliable and safe drinking water requires an efficient operation with a specialized team of employees,” said John Mura CEO/General Manager. “We invite our customers to visit these facilities, have their questions answered, and learn more about our projects and programs.”
