Traffic Tangles After Driver's Brakes Fail

On Wednesday afternoon at about 5:15 p.m., an overturned Land Rover caused a back up in traffic on Washington Street near the intersection of Washington and Meadow Lane. The driver, who would identify himself only as "Allen", said his brakes failed as he was driving, which resulted in his vehicle overturning onto it's side after having impacted with a large concrete barrier in front of DJ's Liquor at 1648 East Washington Street in Colton. The driver stated that he was injured. Colton Police Officers Collins and Carlson were the first on the scene and spoke to several witnesses as they waited for the vehicle to be removed.
