California Baptist University is now five-for-five this season in producing a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference athlete of the week. Josh Hanson became a two-time Swimmer of the Week awardee with the latest release on Wednesday, Thursday, Nov. 18. It is the third such accolade for Hanson after he earned the distinction on Oct. 28th, as well. He earned the most recent honor for another stellar performance in a dual at Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday. The Lancers defeated the Sagehens in their first dual of the season, 191-100, thanks in part to Hanson winning all four events he swam. He opened by helping CBU's 400-yard medley relay team set a new pool record with a win in three minutes, 28.76 seconds. Individually, Hanson would go on to win the 100 back (51.45), 200 fly (1:54.50) and 400 individual medley (4:04.07). Hanson and the rest of CBU have a chance to achieve more at the Colorado Mesa Invite, which runs from Thursday to Saturday in Grand Junction, Colo. Hanson already has two NCAA Division II Championship provisional cuts in the 100 and 200 butterfly.
