The Redlands Symphony’s board of directors announced that the organization’s final concert of the 19-20 season has been canceled.  The concert scheduled for May 2nd and titled “Celebrate America” will not be performed as originally announced.  Ticketholders are asked to retain their tickets until they hear further word from the Symphony.

“We’re deeply saddened that we need to cancel the May 2nd concert,” explained Marilyn Solter, the group’s board chair, “But under current circumstances we really have no choice. The health and safety of our patrons, players, the Maestro and our staff must be our first consideration. We are looking forward to returning to the concert hall in the Fall.”

The Redlands Symphony was in the midst of performing its 70th anniversary season when COVID-19 hit.  A March concert is slated for rescheduling.  Symphony staff has been working remotely to make sure as much.  The Symphony’s regular season includes six professional concerts that are performed starting in the fall through spring.
