SBVC Graduates 162nd Nursing Class

SAN BERNARDINO>> On Wednesday, Dec. 14, the San Bernardino Valley College nursing program graduated its 162nd class. Friends and family gathered together to watch their graduate walk across the stage. “Our nursing alumni are some of the most hard-working and compassionate people I know,” said Susan Bangasser, the dean of science at the college. “They follow in the steps of generations of SBVC nurses who have gone before them.” Founded in 1935, San Bernardino Valley College’s nursing program is one if the college's most established and renowned programs, having produced generations of medical professionals for Southern California and the medical profession nationwide. Tamara Maurizi, the nursing program’s assistant director, encouraged students to pursue their master’s degrees so they could come back to SBVC as instructors. “We love to see Valley College alumni come back to teach here,” Maurizi said. The 45 graduates of the 162nd nursing class include: Christina Aguayo, Sarah Angelini, Michelle Aranda,Renee Armster, Rhonda Ashburn, Michelle Aziz, Pauline Blake, Erin Camarda, Suzan Chacon, Jennifer Cookson, Daysi Alida Cuellar, Blanca Delatorre, Junie Duroseau, Julia Espinosa, Antonio Garrett, Julia Giese, Maria Elena Goins, Tracy Gomez, Linda Goshay, Sul Han, Manuel Lara, Nancy Leanos, Patricia Angelica Leblanc, Januar Ma, Kevin Maese, Jalissa Martinez, Stephanie Mauk, Jill Nelson, Chidinma Onyejiuwa, Maricel Pangan, Ernie Perez, Angela Pesons, Tracey Ramos, Joe Robertson, Alexandria Roces, Natalie Ruiz, Shisdey Ruiz, Rose Elizabeth Salais, Daniel Soler, Maria Susanti, Natacha Talbot, Roshone Trotter, Courtney Wash, Sylvia Willis and Jam Yumang.
