There’s always room to improve, push to the next level and improve. This week’s CNG Athlete of the week uses this mindset as motivation in her four school activities.
Kelly Eller, 17, has been involved in sports on and off since she was 5-years-old. Kelly is involved in soccer, swim, marching band/color guard and tennis, for which she has accomplished high standards in.
Kelly has reached the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) tournament the past two years in girl’s tennis.
Kelly says her biggest challenge she’s faced as an athlete is frequently getting injured and needing to push through the pain to win.
Kelly is able to push through injuries by following her motivation.
“My motivation is to work hard and grow as a competitor, so I can improve and be better than what I was before,” Kelly said.
In her spare time, Kelly likes to sing, read and go to Disneyland. She plans on becoming an English teacher or working in the creative writing field.
