Antonio Reyes Lopez, originally from Jalisco, Mexico, relocated to the United States at the age of six. Initially hired as a Maintenance I worker on January 15, 2024, Antonio has since transitioned into a new role within the City of Grand Terrace. Residing in Colton, he brings a wealth of experience and a strong work ethic to his current position.

Antonio's journey to Grand Terrace has been marked by resilience and adaptability. Following an injury sustained during the 2024 Blue Mountain Hike, he stepped into the role of Interim Office Specialist on April 17th. In this capacity, he efficiently manages the routing of all city phone calls and provides support to various departments with tasks such as dog licensing, permitting, and public works.

Antonio's outstanding performance in this interim role did not go unnoticed. The City management recognized his remarkable contributions, offering him the permanent position of Office Specialist as of May 24th. His reliability in ensuring prompt call responses and his adept support to fellow staff members have been instrumental in this transition.

Antonio brings a diverse background to his role, with experience in maintenance, landscaping, and running his own landscape company for four years. Additionally, his past roles involved purchasing for a motorcycle company and gaining knowledge in motorcycle assembly and disassembly.

Antonio chose to work at the City of Grand Terrace because he appreciates the city's commitment to cleanliness and maintenance. As he puts it, "It's clean, and not a lot of cities put the effort to maintain their cities the same way." Antonio's journey from a maintenance worker to an office specialist exemplifies his adaptability and commitment to excellence. His contributions are expected to facilitate communication between the City and its residents, reflecting the high standards that residents appreciate.
