The deadline to file your taxes is approaching, and assistance is available for you and your family. San Bernardino County Transitional Assistance Department’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, also known as VITA, is approaching the end of tax season with 6,054 returns and over $15.3 million in Federal and State Refunds. With another week and a half remaining, TAD has already exceeded last year’s amount of refunds at this point last year.

Eligible individuals and families whose combined household earned income was less than $58,000 in 2021 can still schedule appointments for free tax services until April 18 at various offices throughout the county. For more information, contact https://wp.sbcounty.gov/tad/resources/ or call 909-421-4091.
