SAN BERNARDINO>> On Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016 at about 6:30 a.m., Detectives from the Sheriff’s Central Station and the Sheriff’s Gang Enforcement unit served search warrants on three residences located on the same property in the 6900 block of Tippecanoe Avenue. The search warrants were reference narcotic sales and recent gang related activity occurring at these locations. As detectives arrived to serve the search warrants, two vicious dogs attacked a deputy. Fearing for his safety, the deputy shot both dogs, who died at the scene. Animal control responded and picked up both dogs. During a search of the three residences, investigators located a large amount of narcotics packaged for sales in a shed area where Garry Finch was sleeping. The shed area had been illegally converted into a bedroom belonging to Finch. Finch was arrested and booked into the county jail for HS 11378. During a search of the apartment belonging to Ilene Jaramillo, Krista Hernandez and Desiree Martinez, investigators located a useable amount of narcotics and a .22 caliber handgun. Hernandez and Martinez were found to be convicted felons, and they are not legally allowed to possess any firearms. Jaramillo, Hernandez and Martinez were booked into the county jail for HS 11370.1 and PC 29800. During a search of the apartment belonging to the Collras’ brothers, investigators located marijuana and prescription pills belonging to other subjects.
