Several health care program courses under Cal State San Bernardino’s College of Extended Learning this winter are now being offered on campus. The courses, previously only available online, are being brought to campus by the college in partnership with CCI Health as university officials understand the growing health-service industry, a release from the college states. Certificates of completion for the courses by the College of Extended Learning will be given to students who complete any of the following programs: • Pharmacy technician with externship, starting March 2; • Medical billing and coding, starting March 3; • Clinical medical assistant with externship, starting March 16; and • Medical administrative assistant, starting March 17. “Just as the online programs, these new, face-to-face options provide students with the necessary education and practical training to excel in the health service industry. They will become work-force ready by learning from industry professionals,” the release states. Students beginning their careers or are changing careers to the health services industry may visit the College of Extended Learning’s Professional and Continuing Education website at pace.csusb.edu for more information, may contact staff by email at pace@csusb.edu or call 909-537-5976.
