LifeHouse Theater rings in the New Year with a double dose of the world’s most famous detective. The intrigue begins on January 6, 2018 with “Sherlock Holmes.” Based on the classic stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, this mystery adventure introduces some of literature’s most memorable characters on stage. This dramatic production weaves together suspense, intrigue and humor as Holmes joins his new friend, Dr. John Watson, to begin their battle against crime together.
Three weeks later, the adventures continue with “The Death of Sherlock Holmes.” The detective becomes entangled within a deadly scheme orchestrated by his archenemy, Professor Moriarty, the “Napoleon of Crime.” Their final confrontation is dramatized in this stunning stage production.
“Sherlock Holmes” performances begin Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 7:30 PM and will continue on weekends through January 21, 2018. Performances are Fridays at 7:30 PM, Saturdays at 2:15 PM (except Opening Night) and 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 2:15 PM. The performance on Friday, January 19, at 7:30 PM will also feature an interpreted presentation for the deaf.
“The Death of Sherlock Holmes” performances begin Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 7:30pm and will continue on weekends through February 11, 2018. Performances are Fridays at 7:30 PM, Saturdays at 2:15 PM (except Opening Night) and 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 2:15 PM. The performance on Friday, February 9, at 7:30 PM will also feature an interpreted presentation for the deaf.
LifeHouse Theater is pleased to announce a special offer to those who purchase tickets to both dramas in the same order. Those who purchase their tickets for both “Sherlock Holmes” and “The Death of Sherlock Holmes” from the box office by phone or in person will receive $4 off each adult ticket purchased. That’s an $8 savings to see both productions. This special pricing is not available online.

Veteran LifeHouse director and performer Nathan Smith has taken on the challenge of directing both dramatic productions. Joining Smith is assistant director Zachary Michel and costum designer Machir Lakofka. Scenic design, sound and lighting are by Mark Perrenoud and Vinnie Martinucchi.
“Sherlock Holmes” and “The Death of Sherlock Holmes” features Michael Slusser as the famous detective with Michael Daehne as Dr. John H. Watson. The two productions also feature Olin Richey, Sr. as Inspector Lestrade, Jennifer Keeney as Mrs. Hudson, Philip Folkens as Stamford and Nick Diliberto as Professor Moriarty. Performing in multiple roles throughout the dual productions are Rich Durant, Olin Richey Jr., Charlie Orozco, Troy Miller, Kyle Ryan, Zac Swan Van Lent, Benji Dooley, Hailey Selter, Sally Angell, Katrina Cavarno, Elizabeth Keeney and Madeline Slusser.
Following these dramatic productions, LifeHouse Theater’s 24th season continues with the world premiere musical “The Snow Queen: A Frozen Fairytale” (February 24 - March 25, 2018), followed by “Joseph!” (April 7 - May 13, 2018), “Anne of Green Gables” (May 26 - July 1, 2018), “Tom Sawyer” (July 14 - August 19, 2018) and “The Disciples of Jesus” (September 1 - 30, 2018).
