Moreno Valley Community Service Officer (CSO) Leafy Wilson has announced she is retiring after serving the residents of Moreno Valley for the last 12 years.  Her professionalism and kindness are often cited in the letters and calls from appreciative business owners, community leaders, and residents of Moreno Valley.

CSO Wilson earned the Golden Bear Award for superior performance in the identification through fingerprint recovery and comparison for six consecutive years.  In 2015, CSO Wilson was awarded the Classified Employee of the quarter. These accomplishments were exhibited in a wide range of circumstances over her years of service to our community.  When asked about her retirement, Wilson answered with a thoughtful response to her police department.

“It is a bittersweet time in my life, having to leave the wonderful people I have worked with for many years. I am anxious to have some down time, travel and do things I have been too busy to do over the past years. It has been nearly 13 years since I started my journey with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and Moreno Valley Police Department. This has been one of the best organizations I have had the pleasure to serve and the finest group of people I know. I come away with great pride in having served alongside all of you and making many friends throughout the years.”

We wish her the very best in all her future endeavors.
