Nick Romo is a Junior at Grand Terrace High School, excelling both academically and athletically. He maintains an impressive 3.7 GPA while balancing a packed schedule that includes school, sports, and leadership roles.

Nick has been playing both baseball and football for 11 years, starting when he was just five years old. He grew up playing in Grand Terrace, participating in JAAF football and Little League baseball, and also played travel baseball for GT Tribe Baseball Club.

In addition to his sports involvement, Nick enjoys going to the gym to improve physically, playing football with his friends, and attending church with his family. His faith plays a significant role in his life, as does the support of his family.

Some of Nick’s notable achievements include earning an academic letter, being selected as Vice President for GTHS ASB, maintaining honor roll status since his freshman year, and making the Varsity football team during his first year of high school.

When asked about his motivation, Nick shared, "My parents and God. My parents have helped shape me into the person I am today. They have taught me so much and helped me see the importance of the Lord in my life. God guides me through everything. I seek His wisdom, and it influences my decisions on and off the field in so many ways.”

Looking ahead, Nick plans to attend California Baptist University (CBU) to study sports management. He aspires to work in team management and operations within the sports industry. Additionally, he plans to continue his work as a missionary with his church, with hopes of traveling the world to spread the gospel and support those in need.

Nick's favorite scripture is Proverbs 10:4, which teaches him to work hard, trusting that the Lord will bless his efforts.

We wish Nick all the best in his future endeavors! There's no doubt that great things lie ahead for this Titan!

Photo Caption: Crime in San Bernardino has dropped by 30 percent or more throughout the city. One reason is that there are more officers on the streets. The Police Department’s goal is to have 350 sworn officers. Current full-time staffing is reported at 295 sworn officers and 156 professional staff.
