44th Annual Show and Sale

The Gates Cactus and Succulent Society’s 44th Annual Show and Sale are returning to Redlands on May 10-11, 2019. This mega event brings together dozens of professionals and hobbyists to celebrate and appreciate all things- cactus and succulent. This two-day event will include an outdoor plant sale where you can shop from the thousands of rare and unusual succulent plants ready to be added to your collection. Whether it’s that Aloe, Echeveria, Euphorbia, Agave, Opuntia, Pachypodium, or Ferocactus you’ve been wanting, there is sure to be a plant to satisfy your succulent interest. There will also be vendors selling authentic ceramic pottery, ornamental garden dish/décor, and decorative garden rocks.

The exhibit show will feature hundreds of succulent plants from members of the society. Here’s where you will experience how these magnificent plants are grown and staged for competition. Many of these plants have been grown and nurtured for years in the most optimal condition to bring out their best succulent quality. Those who are familiar with succulents already know that the myriad of physical, and many times unusual, characteristics of the plant is what makes it even more attractive. Whether you are a novice or experienced grower, you do not want to miss a rare opportunity to see many variety of succulent plants in one setting.

All events have free admission at the Redlands Church of the Nazarene (The ARK), 1307 East Citrus Ave. Redlands, CA 92374. The plant sale will be from 9 AM until 4 PM on both May 10 and 11 while the plant show will be open only on Saturday May 11 from 9AM until 4PM. Club members will be available to help answer questions and to offer tips on growing and caring for your cacti and succulents.
