2018 Baccalaureate Service

This year the Inland Empire Faith Collective became a non-profit 5o1c3. This collection of churches decided to use this year to focus on a few of important events like the National day of Prayer and  the upcoming Baccalaureate Service.

The Inland Empire Faith Collective will honor the graduates for the year 2018  by having a service and a $500 scholarship for one senior from each of the high schools in the district: Bloomington HS, Colton HS, Grand Terrace HS, Slover Mountain HS & Washington HS.

They will also be recognizing home school students based on what school they would attend in the district. The organization’s services are compiled of live contemporary music, a message geared towards the graduates, prayer & the announcement of the scholarships.

The $500 may be used for whatever the graduate feels is a need. They will meet with a pastor at a later date to receive their checks. The scholarship is not based on a student’s GPA, but on servanthood in the community and their future goals. The moneys collected for the scholarships are donations that come from the churches and local businesses.

In the last 2 years City Councilman Gonzalez from Colton has requested the support of the IEFC to conduct a prayer service for veterans on Nov. 11. We also support the veterans in the ceremony where they receive recognition and medals.

A recent addition has been the Homeless Project in Colton in which the Mayor of Colton has asked the IEFC to help with this. They are in the process of working with the City of Colton, Colton PD, Colton Joint Unified School District & the local churches to offer assistance to the less fortunate. Their hope is to gather resources to support this need.
