SAN BERNARDINO >> SBVC Women’s Soccer sophomore defender Allison Herrin (Highland Citrus Valley) has signed a letter of intent with University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Herrin, who was named First Team All-Foothill Conference, was one of eight SBVC players named to the All-Foothill Conference team. She started 20 or more games and helped anchor a defense that supplied 13 team shutouts and will join former teammate goal keeper Makayla Cowles (Riverside Arlington) who signed with UAPB last year. The team finished the season ranked 7th in the nation by the NSCAA, ending the year with a 16-3-3 overall record and a 6-1-1 conference record. They were rewarded with a #5 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. As a reward for their seventh Conference Championship, the team was bestowed with the Conference MVP award, four first team All-Conference honors and four second team All-Conference honors. University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, which is about 40 miles south of Little Rock. The UAPB Golden Lions play at Pumphrey Stadium, and the team is coached by 2nd year head coach, Jamie Hutchison. In the 2015 season, the Golden Lions went 6-4 in conference play, with an overall record of 7-9-1. UAPB is in the Southwest Athletic Conference (SWAC) of NCAA Division I.
