Bryan Hegardt has served as Cub Master to Cub Scout Pack 242 for the past three years. He started with Cub Scout Pack 242 April of 2008 where he was a Tiger Den Leader when his son Zachary was in first grade. He continued for a few years as Den Leader when his younger son Jacob joined Scouts. He continued as a Den Leader until February of 2011 when he took on the position of Cub Master, which is the leader in charge of the entire Pack. Bryan shares, "It has been a lot of fun watching both my boys start out as Tigers and progress through the ranks to the pinnacle of scouting. They both achieved Cub Scouts highest award, The Arrow of Light and I am so proud of them. We've had so many great experiences.. camp-outs, pinewood derbies, rain gutter races, outings and so much more and I will truly cherish all the memories Cub Scouts has given to me. I've had the pleasure of being a leader teaching the wonderful boys in our pack the Values of Scouting. We've had a blast and met many wonderful people and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to serve as the Pack 242's Cub Master. I hope everyone enjoyed my final Arrow of Light and Crossing over ceremony, it was certainly a lot of work but well worth it. Best wishes to Grand Terrace Pack 242.” Bryan has enjoyed his time as a leader and Cubmaster for Pack 242 but now since his youngest son has completed Cub Scouts and crossed over to Boy Scouts, Bryan's position as Cub Master has come to an end. Bryan passed the title on to Brian Felix, who has been a Den Leader for the past few years and will now serve as Cub Master for the Pack.
