With the holidays just around the corner, Sunnymead Ranch homeowners and the surrounding communities had an opportunity to get their holiday shopping done early. Twenty-six vendors participated in the fourth annual Craft Show and Bake Sale, which takes place at the Sunnymead Ranch Clubhouse every year. The items sold at the craft show ranged from home made jewelry, pillows, and Christmas baskets, to wreaths, scarves, hats, and baby blankets. Edible goods sold included jams, peanuts, and tamales. On Myra Portida’s table, photographs of multiple pleasant and peaceful images were sold in the form of frames and postcards. All of the images are personal photographs that Portida has taken. Tonya Gonzalez, another vendor at the craft show, sold handmade wreaths decorated with colorful spheres and ribbons. Other tables displayed handmade hats and scarves for the chilly winter weather, and baby booties and blankets were seen on Jessica Reyes’s table. Lynn Davis sold jams in a variety of fruity flavors, along with sweet peanuts. The Honda Helpful Team arrived early to help distribute goodies and refreshments to the vendors and shoppers. Sonnie Kenney, Chairperson of the Hospitality Committee for the Sunnymead Ranch clubhouse, was excited to have the Honda Team present to support their wonderful event. The event was also an opportunity for Kenney to promote the Sunnymead Ranch Cookbook, filled with original recipes from the residents of Sunnymead Ranch. An organization under the name of Secret Weapon Marketing created the SoCal Honda Helpful Team to promote the true meaning of what it means to be a car dealer. Throughout the campaign, Honda dealers aim to win over customers by apologizing for previous unpleasant experiences when purchasing a car and then helping the community in real world activities. The Hospitality Committee, along with the Board of Directors, dedicate their time to create activities for the families at Sunnymead Ranch and help keep the community clean and safe.
