GRAND TERRACE >> My Girl Scout Junior Troop [1040] completed our Bronze Award Project. The Bronze Award is the 1st major award a Girl Scout can earn. You have to be a Junior to be awarded this. My troop agreed to repaint the volleyball shed at our school, Sacred Heart Academy in Redlands. In order to accomplish this project, we need to get permission from our principal, Mrs. Angela Williams, and our P.E. Coach, Mr. John Fouch. We got the green light and started planning. Our next step was to figure out which supplies we would need and how we could get them. We were able to purchase some paint brushes with our troop funds and the paint was donated by a Sacred Heart parent, Harry Coe. Our next step was to set a date for the project. Everyone agreed on the afternoon of November 18, 2015. We had everything we needed, so we started painting. It took a long time, but it was worth it. After we finished, we washed out the paint brushes and admired the beautiful shed. It was amazing! We had so much fun painting.
