The Unforgettables Foundation Expands to Las Vegas

The Unforgettables Foundation's (TUF) Inland Empire Chapter recently supported the launch of the Redlands area birthed charity outside of California. This exciting step is the beginning of a nationwide push to have a chapter affiliate in all states near a children’s hospital in the next five years. TUF has two chapters also in Canada in Toronto and Ottawa. Former Governor Bob Miller and current State Senator Mark Manendo were there to support. Five local Inland Empire TUF board members attended, Mitch Morales, Bob Sturner, James Persinger, Devonne Rowlen and Christine Beamer along with Tim Evans, founder of TUF. Former San Bernardino resident Glenn Abercrombie, the first chairperson of the South Nevada/Las Vegas Chapter of The Unforgettables, hosted over 50 community leaders at Spanish Trails Country Club in West Las Vegas as a kick-off party launch. All seven new board members were there. The Unforgettables mission of mercy is a perfect fit for all communities in North America since so many families who experience the death of a child also struggle with the funeral and burial or cremation costs associated. Evans says, “We are thrilled to start a new chapter of our unique cause by opening a new chapter in Vegas and Southern Nevada to help families there. We already have about 1/2 of the needed $50,000 necessary to help cases at local mortuaries. We are grateful the Palm group is helping us in such a substantial way, especially with former Inland Empire resident Glenn Abercrombie serving as their inaugural chair. We are ready to expand into Vegas, across the western US and then moving East.” Local leaders from the Vegas community and government came out to the launch event with a strong message-welcome to Vegas.
